Family Paradise in Poland: Termy Uniejów Thermal Pools Exceeded All Expectations

When looking for ideas for a family trip with kids in Poland or planning our route, we always include water activities. Poland truly has many wonderful water parks and thermal pools, which we also often add to our itinerary. This time, our destination was the city of Łódź, which we really like and which offers plenty of entertainment for children. Near Łódź, we’ve visited the excellent Termy Poddębice thermal pools. We often go to the Fala water park, located right in the heart of Łódź. So this time, we decided to visit another highly recommended place. The Termy Uniejów thermal pools in Poland exceeded all our expectations. It was one of the most enjoyable family outings we’ve had. So if you’re looking for a place to go with children or a stop while traveling in Poland, we highly recommend Termy Uniejów thermal pools.

During our visit to Termy Uniejów Thermal Pools in Poland, it truly felt like a family paradise and exceeded all our expectations. Termy Uniejów thermal pools are located in the small town of Uniejów, about an hour’s drive from Łódź. The town is small but very cozy. As soon as you arrive, you’re greeted by a beautiful park, an ancient castle, and the calmly flowing Warta River. The whole environment is very tidy and perfectly suited for family relaxation. This is where one of the most popular thermal pool complexes in Poland is located. We really liked the Termy Poddębice thermal pools, which are not far from Termy Uniejów, but believe me, Termy Uniejów exceeded all our expectations.

What Makes Termy Uniejów Thermal Pools Special

The biggest advantage of this place is the natural geothermal water. It is drawn from more than 2 kilometers deep and is rich in minerals such as sodium, calcium, magnesium, and other microelements.

The water temperature in the pools is about 33–36°C, so it’s very pleasant to swim even in cooler weather. When we arrived, it was a very cloudy day, it was cool, and it even rained a little—we were really worried it would be too cold to enjoy the activities. But believe me, it was not only warm, but also a lot of fun. One of the most impressive and memorable things for our whole family was swimming in the outdoor pools when it’s cool outside and the warm water is steaming. It really created a special atmosphere.

Pools and Water Attractions

The Termy Uniejów complex is really large, so there’s no shortage of activities for both children and adults. There is a very large indoor pool area here. It includes pools with hydromassage jets, saltwater baths, saunas, relaxation zones, and a pirate ship pool for children.

And what I really like about Poland, and what I truly miss in Lithuanian pools and water parks, are the outdoor areas and pools. Almost all water parks or thermal pools in Poland have very large outdoor areas. They usually include pools, slides for kids, and relaxation spaces. The outdoor zone at Termy Uniejów is truly fantastic. There are large outdoor pools, whirlpools, children’s pools with slides, and big slides for older children. There’s also a lazy river, relaxation areas, and an outdoor bar. And since the water in the pools is really warm, you can use the outdoor zone even in cooler weather, and it’s definitely not cold.

By the way, Termy Uniejów also has a beautiful sauna area with various saunas. There are also different massages and body treatments available.

Practical Tips and Prices

The biggest surprise for us was that children under 7 can enter the water park for free. There’s not even a symbolic fee. Usually, in Lithuania and other water parks in Poland, you have to pay for children from the age of 4, but here, there’s no charge for kids up to school age. Ticket prices depend on the duration and the day of the week you visit. You can choose 1, 2, 3, or 5-hour visits. On weekends, a 5-hour visit for an adult costs about 30 euros (depending on the zloty exchange rate). There are also family tickets if you visit with older children. If you eat at the complex café, your time is extended accordingly, which is very convenient. You can find all the prices on the Termy Uniejów complex’s website.

We spent all 5 hours in the park, and the time really flew by because it was so much fun. So it’s definitely worth buying at least a 3 or 5-hour ticket, as there will be plenty of activities for kids, and you’ll have a great time too.

Family Activities Around Termy Uniejów

Termy Uniejów is a resort town with plenty to see and do. Around the complex, you’ll find tennis courts, a ropes course, bowling, and you can also visit the castle complex. There are quite a few accommodation options nearby. After a day at the thermal pools, you can also return for the night to Łódź, where there are plenty of family activities as well.
