If you enjoy active entertainment with children, Tarzanija’s rope courses are one of those places where the whole family can embark on an adventure. A flight over the Nemunas and courses for everyone – Tarzanija’s rope and zipline courses are definitely worth trying. Different heights and levels of difficulty await among the trees, along with zipline rides, while the bravest visitors can experience one of the park’s most impressive attractions – a flight over the Nemunas River.
A Flight Over the Nemunas and Tarzanija’s Rope Courses. The courses vary in difficulty and height, so children, teenagers and parents can all choose a challenge that suits them. And if there are true adrenaline lovers in the family, they should definitely save some energy for the courses high up in the trees and the legendary flight across the Nemunas.

Different Rope and Zipline Courses
The rope courses are located at heights ranging from approximately 1.5 metres to as high as 21 metres, so there is a significant difference between the easiest and most challenging courses.
The courses feature a wide variety of obstacles: suspended bridges, nets, moving elements, cables and zipline descents. Some require more balance, others more courage or strength, so even after completing one course, the next one can feel completely different.
We also really like the fact that you do not have to start with the most difficult option straight away. You can try an easier course first, understand how everything works and only then decide whether you want to go higher.
Rope Courses for Younger Children
Tarzanija has also thought about its younger visitors. There are currently two courses designed for younger children, which can be tried by children from 120 cm tall.
This is a great option for families with children of different ages – younger children do not have to spend all their time watching the older ones have fun. Everyone can find a challenge better suited to their age and level of confidence.
Once children reach a height of 150 cm, they can choose from all of the rope courses.
Flying Over the Nemunas – a Tarzanija Classic
If we had to choose one attraction that we associate most strongly with Tarzanija’s rope courses, it would be the flight across the Nemunas River.
This is not just a short zipline ride between two trees. The route stretches for approximately 800 metres over the Nemunas. As you fly, you can enjoy views of the river and the beautiful nature of Dzūkija, while the feeling of having the Nemunas beneath your feet is truly unforgettable.
Even if you have already visited many rope parks in Lithuania, this particular flight is what makes Tarzanija stand out from many other adventure parks. Greta tried it and confirmed that it is one of the most impressive zipline courses – and she has tried practically all of them in Lithuania.
A Course for Those Who Love Flying the Most
Another fun option is a course where most of the adventure consists of zipline rides.
If suspended bridges and challenging obstacles are not your favourite part of rope courses, but you love the feeling of flying, this course may become one of your favourites.
For teenagers, these zipline rides are often a great motivation to complete the entire course – after all, the most exciting part awaits after the obstacles. Our children especially enjoyed this course and completed it more than once.
Are Tarzanija’s Rope Courses Safe?
Before entering the courses, all visitors receive a safety briefing and are provided with all the necessary equipment.
Tarzanija uses a system that keeps visitors attached to the safety cable while they are on the course. Before starting, it is therefore especially important to listen carefully to the instructor’s explanations and remind children not to rush.
If your child is visiting a rope park for the first time, we recommend starting with an easier course. Sometimes a child may seem very brave while standing on the ground, but the feeling can change once they climb several metres above it. It is much more enjoyable to build confidence gradually than to choose a course that is too difficult straight away.
Tarzanija Is More Than Just Rope Courses
One of Tarzanija’s biggest advantages for families is that you do not have to limit your visit to the rope courses.
The park offers plenty of other entertainment and attractions, so while some family members are tackling the highest courses, the others will certainly have plenty to do. Tarzanija has rides, trampolines and various activities for children. We also recently wrote separately about the 18-hole mini golf course located here.
That is why you can easily plan Tarzanija as a full-day family outing rather than just a short stop.
Why Are Tarzanija’s Rope Courses Worth Trying?
For us, Tarzanija is one of those places you can return to as your children grow. Younger children can start with simpler challenges, gradually climb higher as they get older and eventually build up enough courage to tackle the most challenging courses.
And, of course, there is the flight over the Nemunas. It is one of those experiences that makes Tarzanija worth visiting even if you have already tried other rope parks in Lithuania.
If you are looking for an active family day out in Dzūkija, with activities suitable for children of different ages as well as adults, Tarzanija’s rope courses are definitely worth adding to your list of summer and warm-season activities.
