We chose the 1-hour route from Las Galletas port. It is convenient to park a car nearby. However, if you prefer, you can also book a transfer service.
After the ride, we also stopped by our favorite Peruvian restaurant right at the port. We recommend it to you as well: Punto Azul. In addition, there are several other nice restaurants nearby. So, a fun half-day with entertainment is guaranteed!
The hosts greeted us: a Lithuanian family. It felt great that we could try such an extreme activity for the first time with truly friendly instructors. They explained clear rules. Also, they escorted us throughout the whole trip. So, this is definitely an experience you can trust. For us as a family with children, that was especially important.
Children can join the ride from the age of 6. However, it depends a lot on the child. Therefore, we recommend talking with younger children beforehand. Ask if they might feel scared and if they can follow safety rules during the entire trip. Personally, we would recommend it from around 8 years old. Still, the rules allow younger children to join. Our children (9 and 11 years old) had an amazing time. They enjoyed the speed, the splashes, and the waves.
The instructor was patient and helpful. At first, driving with a child sitting behind you, and doing it in the ocean, is not easy. However, it does not feel scary. You will likely just go a bit slower than you would without small passengers. In contrast, adrenaline lovers would probably choose a solo ride through the waves. By the way, from the age of 16, teenagers can already drive on their own.

Compared to other water sports agencies in Tenerife, Turbo Jet Ski offers very competitive prices. Prices start from 100 EUR / hour / for one person. The price includes all necessary equipment, life jackets, insurance, instructions, soft drinks, and pick-up and drop-off within the area from Los Cristianos to El Medano.
Our tips
If you ride in summer, a swimsuit and a UV-protection shirt are usually enough (but it is not necessary).
If you ride when it is windy and cooler, take wetsuits. It will feel warmer and more comfortable.
Bring a waterproof phone case and your phone. This way, you can stop in beautiful places and take photos. Also, you can purchase photos from the organizers.
Make sure to bring sunscreen, especially for your face. They provide goggles for the ride, so do not refuse them. They protect you from the sun and from salty water splashes.
Bring towels. There is a WC with showers nearby, so you can change and rinse off.
You can safely leave your belongings at the departure location.
