“Water on Mars” leisure and entertainment park
In winter, “Vanduo Marse” impresses no less than in summer. Here, a winter attraction called “Sniegas Marse” has opened its doors. Visitors looking for real winter fun will find a skiing hill with a 170-meter-long slope. It suits both younger and older visitors.
A big advantage is that you can come with your own equipment and ride completely for free. However, entering the park itself has an admission fee. Still, we promise it is worth it. After winter fun, you can stop by to warm up and enjoy a tasty meal at the restaurant on-site. In addition, children can enjoy a safely fenced playground.
The sledding/ski hill is open every day while it is still light outside.
Draugystės park
If we had to name one place in Kaunas where you will never run out of hills, Draugystės park would be one of the first choices. In summer, children play in the playgrounds and families have picnics in the grass. In winter, however, it becomes a true sledding paradise!
The biggest winter advantage of this location is the variety of hills and the amount of space. You will find both smaller and bigger slopes, so children of different ages can enjoy the fun. Even on weekends, when it is the most popular time to escape the house, there is enough space for everyone.
Draugystės park is one of the best playgrounds in Kaunas. Still, we honestly did not expect it to be even more fun in winter! By the way, across the street there is a small shopping center called “Dainava”. There you will find a toilet. You can also grab a take-away coffee.
Kleboniškis forest hill – also known as Kleboniškis winter park
Kleboniškis forest hill is one of the most popular winter sledding spots in Kaunas. Families and locals often talk about it. Although it is a natural forest area, in winter it turns into a lively place full of children and sleds.
Here you will find a long, gently sloping hill. It is suitable for sledding, sliding with saucers, or even snow tubes. Because of its length and width, older kids especially love this location. However, farther away from the main slope, you can also find calmer spots for younger children.
Another important thing is that Kleboniškis hill is easy to reach, well known, and very popular in winter. That is why more than one family often gathers here. As a result, the name “Kleboniškis winter park” became widely used. When it snows, winter life here truly comes alive.
