Pakruojis Manor has opened the winter season and invited visitors to the Christmas Adventure Workshops. This year, guests meet the manor’s Baron himself. He introduces the manor’s history, traditional crafts, and festive activities up close.

Christmas Adventure Workshops
An educational journey through the manor
The Christmas Adventure Workshops have officially started at Pakruojis Manor. One of the main highlights is a guided tour led by the manor’s Baron. During the tour, he shares the most intriguing stories and legends of Pakruojis Manor.
The tour begins inside the festively decorated palace. After that, visitors continue with a walk through the park and farm buildings. Along the way, they learn about daily life at the manor and the traditions of the people who once lived there.
Next, the route leads to the underground Punishment Cellar. Here, visitors see an exhibition of historical punishment tools. This part of the tour leaves a strong impression, as it reveals a lesser-known side of the manor’s past and the penalties used at the time.
Finally, the tour ends with a visit to the historic distillery. For more than 120 years, the manor has distilled alcohol for beer production here. Visitors learn how this process worked in the past and why beverage production played an important role in the manor’s prosperity.
Manor craft workshops
As evening approaches, the manor’s manufactories and workshops gradually fill with creative activity. At the same time, visitors can explore spaces run by wool felters and beekeepers. In addition, they can meet the Panopticon secret keepers, a 19th-century photography master, a costume seamstress, and culinary creators.
Here, guests can observe authentic manor crafts as they come to life. In addition, they can learn about the details behind each craft. Those who wish can also try the activities themselves, from wool felting to making small souvenirs or taking part in a vintage-style photo session. Moreover, curious visitors can view antique motorized machinery and try vintage game machines.
Santa’spost office
Santa’s Post Office, located in the manor’s farm area, becomes one of the most visited festival spots every year. Here, children can write and leave their Christmas wishes. Most importantly, they can meet Santa Claus in person. He takes time for every child and genuinely asks how well they behaved this year.
According to the manor’s hosts, Santa arrived this year with a special mission. He aims to collect as many children’s dreams as possible and fulfill them with the help of his assistants before the end of the year.
“Santa’s Post Office receives hundreds of letters every year. Children’s eyes truly sparkle here. They not only write their wishes but also experience an unforgettable meeting. This is a place where the holiday spirit truly comes to life,” say the event organizers at Pakruojis Manor.
