Warm autumn activities for families in Vilnius: discover the Vichy water park
As days become shorter and evenings get longer, and as the temperature drops, we more and more often receive questions about what to do with the family in autumn. Probably many of us, when autumn arrives, spend part of the time indoors, but still want to stay active and have fun. That’s why you often ask us where our TOP places for families in autumn are. And we confidently recommend: warm autumn activities for families in Vilnius: discover the Vichy water park

The Vichy water park in Vilnius is one of the largest water parks not only in Lithuania but also in the Baltic countries. Families will find here a large number of water attractions, spaces for children, relaxation zones, and impressive water slides. And if you are without children – the saunas and SPA areas of the Vichy water park will impress you. So if you’re looking for what to do on a cool autumn evening or don’t know where to spend a fun rainy weekend with your family – the Vichy water park is a great choice.

Vichy water park sauna area
If you are planning to visit the Vichy water park without children – we highly recommend the sauna area. This sauna zone is located on the third floor and invites visitors to experience a variety of Polynesian climates. Here, unlike in the rest of the park, there is peace and quiet, because only adults or children from 18 years old are allowed. In this area you can try as many as ten different types of saunas, from the intense dryness and heat of “Drought in Hawaii” to the warm and humid “Tropical Heat”, the calming “Afternoon in Kiribati” or the mysterious “Tahiti Mist”. Each sauna is designed so that visitors can experience different temperatures, humidity levels and an exotic atmosphere that ensures complete relaxation.

The sauna area also has a bar and a large television where you can watch sports events. There is also a relaxation and rest room.

We visit the Vichy water park sauna area when we are at the park without children, and if we are with children, then we go to this zone alternately with my husband. While one of us is enjoying the park with the kids, the other enjoys the peace in the sauna area.
Be sure to check out the procedures happening in the sauna area. We are big fans of sauna procedures. If you haven’t tried them yet – we highly recommend it.
Nearby there is also a spa centre and a hammam. Everything is created for your maximum relaxation.
Saunas accessible to everyone
By the way, on the first floor there is an open sauna area with 2 saunas. Anyone can visit these saunas, even visitors under 18. Here you will find “Aratika” – a Turkish sauna, especially liked by those who find it difficult to tolerate high heat, and “Kaukura” – a Russian steam sauna with quite a high temperature of 60–80 °C.

Children’s birthdays, class trips and corporate events
The Vichy water park is perfect not only for family leisure but also for children’s birthdays. You can book several different birthday programmes here. By the way, the birthday cake is a gift from the Vichy water park.
The Vichy water park also offers special prices and programmes for class trips, so if you’re looking for an interesting activity for children – the water park may be a great choice.
And if you are looking for team-building ideas – the Vichy water park offers a unique programme with water park activities and sports competitions at the Delfi sports centre.
Autumn fun in any weather – the Vichy water park is truly worth attention
There is never bad weather at the Vichy water park. Even if it’s cold or raining outside, you will be greeted by a tropical atmosphere and warm environment.
There are plenty of activities for families at the Vichy water park. If you are with small children, like we are, you will certainly enjoy the children’s zone, where little ones will find a warm shallow pool and small slides. A lifeguard is always on duty next to this pool while we are having fun with the kids. And the most fun part of the park for the whole family is probably the big wave pool.

If you are with older children, the water slides will definitely not leave anyone indifferent. The Vichy water park has 9 of the most modern attractions in the Baltic region, including the “Maori Scream” – working on the pendulum principle and allowing you to experience weightlessness. This attraction is the largest among indoor water parks in the world. Unfortunately, like other water attractions, it has strict height and age restrictions, so Motiejus couldn’t try it.
It’s great that there are larger floats that allow you to slide together with two older children.

We really liked that downstairs, near the slide exits, there is also a warm jacuzzi from which we could happily watch Motiejus and dad sliding down.
