The largest free pumpkin park in Lithuania and one of the most beautiful autumn spots for families is open once again. Located in Bubiai village, Kaunas district, Dexter Farm has been one of our family’s favorite autumn destinations for years. You’ll find hundreds of unique pumpkins, stunning fall decorations, animals, and plenty of activities for kids – you can spend a wonderful autumn day here, and best of all, the park is completely free to visit.

The largest free pumpkin park in Lithuania returns
Dexter Farm – the largest free pumpkin park in Lithuania – is set in Bubiai village, Kaunas district. Don’t confuse it with Bubiai near Šiauliai. The farm itself isn’t huge, but each fall its grounds transform into a true pumpkin kingdom. Because of this, families arrive not only from Kaunas but also from all over Lithuania.
Dexter Farm is a family business. Family members take care of everything, and the hosts are the reason you’ll want to return. They are always happy to talk about the pumpkins they grow, help you pick the right one, and often treat visitors to homemade pumpkin snacks.
2026 Dexter Farm kicked off the season today, on September 12. If you want to see the park at its best, we recommend coming early in the season. Pumpkins decorate the park, but you can also buy them. The later you visit, the fewer pumpkins will be left. The farm typically stays open as long as there are pumpkins.
We’ve come here for several years, and the difference is clear. If you visit in September, the pumpkin display is impressive. However, by mid or late October, there are far fewer pumpkins. So, if you want to see a true pumpkin sea and take beautiful autumn photos, plan your visit as early as possible.
One of the most instagrammable autumn spots in Lithuania
Dexter Farm is one of those places where you’ll want to start taking photos as soon as you arrive. You’ll see pumpkins of every size, shape, and color, along with creative autumn decorations and family photo spots.
It’s no surprise this place is very popular on social media. If you want beautiful family photos among pumpkins this autumn, you’ll find plenty of opportunities. However, remember that this is a space for all visitors – professional photo shoots that disturb others are not allowed.
The photos here are amazing, but we love Dexter Farm for more than just that. Kids always have plenty to do beyond posing with pumpkins.
One of the highlights for children is meeting and feeding the animals that live on the farm. Kids can also check out a real tractor, climb on it, or even go for a short ride. However, for our kids, the most fun activity is always the simplest – jumping on hay bales. Sometimes, these classic farm activities leave the biggest impression.
We also love that the hosts treat visitors to pumpkin snacks. In previous years, we’ve enjoyed warm pumpkin pancakes and tea right at the farm.
Not just fun – take pumpkins home
Don’t forget, Dexter Farm is first and foremost a real pumpkin farm. Your visit can end not just with great photos, but also a trunk full of pumpkins.
You can pick out pumpkins for cooking, soup, pancakes, or baking, as well as decorative pumpkins for your home or fall displays. As Halloween approaches, you can also choose a pumpkin to carve into a lantern.
For us, Dexterių Farm has become one of those places we can’t imagine autumn without. If you’re searching for a free autumn outing with kids in the Kaunas area, it’s definitely worth visiting early in the season – while the pumpkin display is at its peak.
Our tips for visiting Dexter Farm
Wear comfortable shoes, because the pumpkin park is entirely outdoors.
Visiting the pumpkin park is FREE. However, we highly recommend dropping a donation in the box or simply buying pumpkins or snacks! Don’t miss the tractor ride. Every year, the hosts put a lot of effort into the farm, growing pumpkins, and creating a true autumn celebration for kids and parents.
