These are spaces where family members have fun together and strengthen their bond, while improving their health. From city pools to cosy private leisure spots – pools have become a real part of Lithuanian entertainment and leisure culture.
Swimming pools and water parks in Lithuania
Klaipėda swimming pool
Klaipėda pool, located on the coast and built in 2018, is a multifunctional wellness centre with a gym and one of the most modern 50-meter pools in Lithuania. To begin with, its uniqueness lies in the adjustable depth, which can be changed by lifting the swimming floor. Moreover, the pool is adapted to various needs of both children and adults. Klaipėda pool has 10 swimming lanes, one diving shaft, and in addition, the sauna area includes a sauna, steam bath, whirlpools and cold-water pools.
For the smallest visitors, there is a children’s pool with a depth of only 40 cm and water heated to +36°C. Furthermore, children up to 3 years old can enter for free. Klaipėda Pool also hosts children’s birthday celebrations for groups of up to 12–14 children, and in addition, it offers camps and swimming lessons. On weekends and holidays, a challenge track operates – trampolines on water. During this time the shallow pool floor is raised from 120 cm to 80 cm. As a result, the youngest visitors or those who cannot swim will feel comfortable using safety vests.
Girstutis swimming pool in Kaunas
Girstutis pool is located in Kaunas. It is one of the largest and longest-operating sports complexes in Lithuania. Girstutis pool offers active leisure, including a gym and group training sessions. In the pool area you will find 3 pools: 50 m, 25 m and an entertainment pool, as well as a slide and 4 whirlpools. Also, there is sauna area which offers a lavender steam bath with mist, a steam sauna, an infrared sauna, a dry hot-air sauna, an aromatic steam sauna and a regular steam sauna. There are also massage rooms, a Fresh Spot juice and healthy cocktail café, a Swimpro sports goods shop, and the only wakeboarding park in a pool in Lithuania – Wake up Kaunas Pool!
Girstutis pool hosts children’s birthday parties for up to 15 people. In the swimming academy “Banga” children can attend swimming classes. Children up to 4 years old enter free. In the warm entertainment pool you can try underwater streams. Children can enjoy the slide. In the entertainment area there is a warm baby pool for the first visits to the pool.

Kupiškis swimming pool
Although Kupiškis is a smaller town, in 2023 a modern Kupiškis pool was opened, attractive for both residents and visitors. It is a multifunctional wellness centre with a 4-lane 25 m pool with a depth of 1.4 m, a group training room, various saunas, a whirlpool, wave and massage pools.

Jonava pool has a four-lane 25 m long pool with a depth up to 2 m. Adjustable diving platforms are installed. There is a separate 10 m long and 80 cm deep pool for children learning to swim. Druskininkai water park
Druskininkai water park AQUA is located in Druskininkai next to the Nemunas River, and to start with, it offers a wide range of activities for family leisure. In particular, there is a sauna area with various sauna programs, slides, pools, introductory diving with equipment and water fitness. Meanwhile, in the children’s area, little visitors will find real sea sand, warm mineral water, a steam bath adapted for children, climbing structures, slides, a monkey bridge, mysterious rocks and jungle decorations that create a special mood. Additionally, parents who want a short break from their little ones can use the children’s supervision service for ages 5–13.
As for the pools, the Great Pool in AQUA is surrounded by panoramic windows with inspiring views of the Nemunas riverbank. Next to it, there is a hill with a waterfall and cascades for strong shoulder and back massage, and on top of the hill you will find a whirlpool. Furthermore, good swimmers are invited to enjoy the Wave Pool, which is 1.5 m deep, with 1.5 m waves lasting 15 minutes. Finally, fans of flowing water can enjoy the Rapid River. Its depth is 1.4 m, length 75 m, and it is recommended for those who can swim.
