Stańczyki bridges
Stańczyki bridges are the highest bridges in Poland. They are also one of the most interesting and popular tourist attractions in northern Poland. The site includes two former railway bridges near the former village of Stańczyki, now called Stańczyki, in northeastern Poland. Importantly, this attraction is only about 30 km from the Lithuanian-Polish border.

Suwałki water park and shopping in Suwałki
The Suwałki Water Park is the closest water park in Poland to Lithuania. It is one of the most enjoyable attractions in Suwałki and works perfectly for families with younger children. Children can use all slides, as there are no height restrictions. In addition, shallow water entry areas suit kids well, while adults can relax in saunas and jacuzzis. Although the water park is not very large, it is fun, affordable, and budget-friendly. We visit it very often.

Ski slopes near Suwałki
There are no ski slopes directly in Suwałki. However, several ski areas operate nearby.
One of the most well-known places is the Szelment Winter Sports Center (Wojewódzki Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji Szelment). It is a modern ski complex located about 15 km from Suwałki, near the village of Szelment Mały. Here you will find ten slopes of varying difficulty, suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. The slopes use artificial snow, have ski lifts, and are lit in the evening. The center also offers ski and snowboard rental, lessons, and cozy restaurants.
Dąbrówka is a small ski center near Puńsk, about 30 km from Suwałki. It has one slope with a lift and suits beginners and families who want to try skiing for the first time. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, and the slope uses artificial snow.
Piękna Góra is a popular skiing and leisure complex located about 60 km from Suwałki, near the town of Gołdap. It offers several ski slopes for different skill levels. In addition, the complex includes lifts, artificial snow systems, restaurants, a viewing platform, and equipment rental.
About 40 km from Suwałki, you will find the small ski center Rybno. This place offers gentle slopes with artificial snow. It suits beginners and families who prefer a quiet environment without large crowds.

Suntago water park
Suntago Water Park is the largest water park in Europe. It is located just one hour from Warsaw. Therefore, if you visit the Polish capital, we highly recommend taking the time to go there. Everyone will find attractions here, from toddlers to adults.

Majaland amusement park
In our beloved Warsaw, you will also find Majaland, a family-friendly theme park. After our first visit in March, we returned again very soon. The park operates all year round, as most attractions are indoors. However, during summer, we also visited the outdoor area.
You can safely visit Majaland amusement park even if your family includes children as young as two years old. There is a separate and very fun zone for toddlers. Meanwhile, older children can enjoy roller coasters, carousels, rides, slides, and attractions.

Copernicus Science Centre
At the Copernicus Science Centre, you can visit exhibitions where you can touch and test many exhibits yourself. In addition, you can attend performances at the Robot Theatre and the High Voltage Theatre. You can also take part in scientific experiments. The center offers mini workshops in its laboratories and impressive experiences in one of the most modern planetariums in Poland. It is an extremely interesting and meaningful place where inventions, experiments, and scientific laws come together under one roof.

Łódź Science Centre
The Łódź Science Centre is one of the most unique science centers we have visited in Europe as a family. We strongly recommend planning enough time, as the center is large and very engaging. It features many unique exhibits, and the exhibition space exceeds 8,000 square meters.

Hydropolis museum
Hydropolis is a water museum in Wrocław. It is located in a historic 19th-century underground clean water reservoir with an area of 4,000 square meters. The interactive exhibition “Earth – the Water Planet” explains the origin of water and its importance to our planet. The museum presents water diversity using multimedia, models, interactive installations, and touch screens.
The atmosphere inside is unique and dark. Visitors can lie on loungers and watch the moon rise on a fictional planet. Children especially enjoy the interactive elements, lights, and buttons.

Zakopane
Skiing in the Zakopane Region
Poland offers a wide range of ski resorts, and the Zakopane area includes many of them.
Popular locations include:
- Kasprowy Wierch

- Białka Tatrzańska
All these places offer ski slopes of varying difficulty. They suit both beginners and experienced skiers. In addition, you will find lifts, ski and snowboard rentals, ski schools for children and adults, and restaurants. Everything you need is available, even if skiing is your first experience.

Mountain hiking
Zakopane has become one of the most popular destinations in Poland. Increasingly, families choose it for hiking with children. Thanks to relatively easy trails, hiking with kids is manageable. Termia Bania thermal pools
While traveling to the mountains with children, we discovered and confidently recommend the PodKotelnica Hotel. We chose it because of its excellent location in the peaceful resort of Białka Tatrzańska. We also wrote about this area as a ski resort in the article Skiing in Poland.
Just a few hundred meters from the hotel, you will find Termia Bania. It is an impressive thermal pool complex and water park. We strongly recommend visiting it when staying in Zakopane or the Tatra Mountains. The water park is located at the foot of the mountains. While swimming, you can enjoy panoramic mountain views and see ski lifts above the pools.
