Our TOP favorite places in Vilnius and near Vilnius
We enjoy sledding with kids the most at:
- Tauras hill (the hill has a barrier, so it is safe). This hill is probably better for older kids;

- In Žvėrynas, on Birutės street near the pedestrian bridge. It is a very good hill. It is perfect even with younger kids, because it has both a steeper and a gentler slope;

- In Ribiškės. First of all this is our favorite. Second, there are very few people there, and you will find many hills. In addition, some of them are steeper, so it is perfect when we want to go sledding together with the kids. Finally, in the background, you can even see the Liepkalnis ski slopes.
- In Varnikai, on Žemaitės street. It is an ideal place to take a walk on the Varnikų nature trail and then go sledding on the hills nearby. Most of the time, you will not meet more than one person. It is most convenient to leave your car near the Varnikų hillfort. At the end of Žemaitės street, you will find a yacht club. From there, you can get a great view of Trakai Castle, so it is a perfect place for a picnic or for enjoying winter.
