Top water parks in Europe: where to have fun with children
Suntago water park near Warsaw
This is the largest water park in Europe, covering around 70,000 sq. m. It can welcome up to 15,000 visitors per day. Inside the park, the air temperature reaches around 32°C, and you will find 740 palm trees brought from Malaysia, Florida, and Costa Rica.
Everyone will find something here, from the youngest children to adults. You often ask whether it is worth visiting with smaller children, and our answer is definitely yes, as even the youngest will find activities here. The park is divided into three separate zones: Relax Suntago, Jamango, and Saunaria Suntago.
We recommend dedicating a full day to the park, as there is a lot to do. A four-hour ticket is definitely not enough, because you will not have time to try even a small part of the attractions. A two-hour ticket is simply not worth considering.
The park is located about one hour from Warsaw and around 6 to 7 hours by car from Vilnius. Although there are accommodation options near the park, the prices are quite high. Therefore, we recommend staying in Warsaw and also exploring many interesting places in the capital of Poland.

↩︎ Back to listSiam water park in Tenerife
If you are dreaming of a holiday where the whole family has something to do from morning to evening, Siam Park in Tenerife is one of the best choices in Europe. Here you will find not only water slides but also a tropical environment, a sandy beach, huge waves, and fun activities for both children and adults.
For older children and teenagers, the variety of slides is impressive, from fast rivers to almost vertical drops. One of the most famous is the “Tower of Power,” where you slide through a tunnel with sharks, safely of course.
Parents will also enjoy this park, not only because children stay busy, but also because of the chance to relax in the “Mai Thai River,” which is one of the longest and most beautiful lazy rivers in the world.
If you want more comfort, you can rent a cabana or choose a VIP area. In addition, the park offers restaurants, cafes, changing rooms, and everything needed for a comfortable day with children.
Although the entrance price is quite high, especially for families, Siam Park has been named the best water park in the world many times, and for a good reason. Everything here is well planned so that family отдых is both safe and memorable. So, if you travel to Tenerife with children, this is a place you simply should not miss.
Buy tickets in advance to avoid queues at the entrance. If you also plan to visit Loro Park, choose a TWIN ticket, as it will be cheaper. Buy tickets in advance.

↩︎ Back to listTherme Erding in Germany
Therme Erding is the largest thermal spa complex not only in Europe but also in the world. The park is located near Munich, in the town of Erding, and covers 140,000 sq. m.
It offers many thermal pools, indoor and outdoor areas, and different zones, from family-friendly pools to a quieter spa area for adults.
In the Therme Erding water park, you will find the “Galaxy” slide zone, which includes 28 slides of different difficulty levels. Therefore, it is suitable both for families and for those who enjoy extreme experiences.
We especially liked Therme Erding for several reasons. First, the main area is very spacious, so there is less crowding compared to Suntago. In addition, the main zone includes many thermal pools, jacuzzis, and smaller pools.
During summer, some pools and slides operate outdoors, while the glass dome covering the indoor area opens, creating a tropical atmosphere.
↩︎ Back to listEnergylandia park near Kraków
This is the largest amusement park in Poland and also has the largest outdoor water park. Energylandia park with children – is our detailed experience, which is worth reading if you are planning a visit.
Energylandia is a huge park divided into 7 zones. However, we would describe it as two main parts: the amusement park and the water park.
The Energylandia water park includes 14 impressive water slides and a very large area, which will definitely leave no one indifferent.
This is one of the newest zones in Energylandia. The main attraction in “Aqualantis” is the double launch coaster “Abyssus,” where the ride launches twice. The highest point reaches 38 meters, and the track is 1,316 meters long. These are among the few coasters where the minimum height is 120 cm and where riders go upside down.
We highly recommend buying tickets in advance through a trusted booking system, where you can often find good deals and discounts.
↩︎ Back to listAqualand water park in Tenerife
Aqualand is another water park in Tenerife that offers many water activities for children and adults. The park also features dolphin shows.
We especially like the children’s attraction area, where slightly older kids can safely enjoy slides on their own. The water in children’s pools is quite warm, probably because they are shallow and heat up on sunny days.
Prices here are lower than in Siam Park. However, the park is older, the food options are more limited, mostly fast food, and sunbeds require an extra fee. Therefore, our tip is to choose a sunny and warm day.
Bring your own water, fruits, and snacks, and wear water shoes for more comfort while walking in the park.
The Aqualand water park has themed zones based on family needs: adrenaline zone, children’s zone, family activities, and relaxation zone.
Buy tickets in advance to avoid queues at the entrance.
