This exhibition began as a creative initiative to present the Christmas tradition in a modern and engaging way for younger audiences. The idea was simple. First, the creators wanted to preserve the meaning of the nativity scene. At the same time, they aimed to change the form so that it would feel closer and more relatable to children.
Over the years, the LEGO nativity scene continued to grow and evolve. New scenes appeared, more details were added, and the overall scale increased. As a result, it became one of the most visited non-traditional Christmas exhibitions in Santa Cruz. Consequently, it attracts thousands of visitors every year.
A non-traditional but highly engaging nativity scene
The LEGO nativity scene uses thousands of pieces arranged into carefully planned scenes. Visitors can recognize the main nativity characters. At the same time, they can also notice everyday life elements, architectural details, and animals.
This year, more than twenty creators combined their creativity to form the “Magical World”. They used more than 320,000 LEGO pieces to recreate castles, forests, creatures, and iconic scenes with exceptional detail. Each part of the exhibition was designed to surprise visitors and spark curiosity in both children and adults.
In addition, this year’s exhibition offers even more surprises. For example, it includes motorized elements, special lighting, and dynamic scenes. As a result, the diorama feels alive and full of movement. Therefore, it becomes a visual spectacle that unfolds right before visitors’ eyes.
