Molėtai pool: a place children rarely want to leave
If we had to choose one pool near Vilnius that surprises families the most, Molėtai pool would almost always rank at the top. It is one of those places where you plan to stay for a couple of hours, yet you end up staying longer. Meanwhile, children play in the kids’ zone with a slide, and parents relax in the whirlpools or enjoy the pool area at a slower pace.
A major advantage of this place is the wide range of activities for younger children. Therefore, you do not have to worry that they will get bored. Another pleasant surprise is the price. Families often admit they did not expect to get so many water activities for that amount, just an hour from Vilnius. For this reason, Molėtai pool often becomes a place families want to visit again. We also wrote a separate article about Molėtai pool, because it truly deserves more attention.
At Molėtai pool, you will find four swimming lanes suitable for both beginners and advanced swimmers. In addition, the SPA area includes three saunas: a steam sauna, a steam bath, and a sauna. You can also enjoy a whirlpool, underwater massage loungers, and a wall with air massage features.

Girstutis pool in Kaunas: impressive slide and water trampolines
Girstutis pool in Kaunas is one of the largest and longest operating sports complexes in Lithuania. Unfortunately, Vilnius does not have similar leisure complexes where families can both enjoy activities with children and relax in the pool area.
At Girstutis pool, you will find three pools: a 50 m pool, a 25 m pool, and a recreational pool. In addition, there is a water slide and four whirlpools. The sauna area includes many different saunas. Moreover, the complex offers massage rooms, a juice and healthy cocktail café called Fresh spot, a sports goods store Swimpro, and the only indoor wakeboarding park in Lithuania, Wake up Kaunas Pool.
Children under 4 years old enter the pool free of charge. When Paulė was little, she spent hours in the warm children’s pool. In our opinion, this warm baby pool is ideal for a child’s first visits to a swimming pool. Meanwhile, Motiejus simply loves the water slide and the water trampolines. Importantly, all of this is already included in the ticket price.
Jonava pool
Jonava pool is one of those places that often surprise families more than they expect. When you arrive, you quickly see that you can not only swim but also enjoy quality time with children. Various water activities await, along with comfortable spaces for the youngest visitors and a calmer atmosphere than in large water parks.
A big advantage is the price, as it remains family friendly. Therefore, you can organize a short trip without complicated planning. Because of the good balance between price and activities, Jonava pool often becomes a place families choose to visit again.
Jonava pool features a four lane, 25 m long swimming pool with a depth of up to 2 m. It also has adjustable diving platforms. In addition, there is a separate 10 m long and 80 cm deep pool for children to learn swimming.
Furthermore, Jonava pool includes a SPA area with a 1.2 m deep recreational pool, various water massage features, and a water slide. Visitors can also enjoy four whirlpools and four saunas. For the youngest guests, there is a 42 cm deep paddling pool with a small slide.
Širvintos sports center pool: a calmer place for families
Širvintos pool often becomes the choice for families who look for a quieter environment and want to avoid large crowds. Here, you can enjoy water activities without chaos. In particular, the pool suits parents with younger children, because the space feels compact and cozy.
Although it is not a large water park, many families value its simplicity and calm atmosphere the most. In addition, the prices remain family friendly.
