The most romantic hotel in Lithuania with spa and pool, Romantic in Panevėžys, was a real discovery for us. We were looking for a place to relax with the whole family, but we found much more. Romantic hotel is a special oasis of calm. It offers cozy rooms, a great restaurant, very tasty food, and a huge pool. In addition, the hotel has a great location and pays attention to details.
Great location and a wide choice of rooms
The most romantic hotel in Lithuania with spa and pool, Romantic, is located in a renovated historic mill in the very center of Panevėžys. In 1841, a mechanical mill was rebuilt after a fire in one of the most fertile regions of Lithuania. It was the only one that survived the hardships of the World Wars, as well as the periods of occupation and nationalization. During the interwar period, it also avoided destruction when the Germans retreated. However, when the Soviet Union occupied Lithuania, the mill was nationalized, and it continued grinding grain until 1992. A building with more than 180 years of history opened its doors in 2002 as a luxurious four-star Romantic hotel.
The hotel is located right in the city center, next to Senvagė park. Therefore, it is very pleasant to go for a walk with children or have breakfast while enjoying the beautifully maintained park. There is also a large and free parking area next to the hotel. The hotel consists of three parts, so you can choose rooms according to your needs and budget. The historic part of the hotel offers business class rooms. These rooms combine luxury, history, and modern design. They are probably the most impressive rooms in the hotel. Senvagė is the newer part of the hotel. Here you will find 15 business class rooms with a beautiful view of Senvagė and the Nevėžis river. Nevėžis is the economy part of the hotel, where you will find 34 newly equipped rooms.
We stayed in the historic part of the hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. In addition, the children especially loved the swing in the room.

The hotel also has a relaxation area with a swimming pool. And not just any pool, but one that is 24.5 meters long. Here you will also find a jacuzzi and a sauna. Moreover, you can visit the pool and relaxation area not only when staying at the hotel, but also if you just want to come and relax.
Here you will also find a gym and a unique ETNO SPA. Authentic Baltic tradition rituals are performed here. In addition, you can enjoy amber, herbal, foam, and sea salt treatments.
Hotel restaurant
The hotel has a uniquely designed restaurant with an impressive view of Senvagė. Here you can enjoy a very tasty lunch or dinner. And if you stay at the hotel, you will also have a cozy breakfast here. Believe us, the breakfast is truly exceptional. The selection is huge, and the food is very delicious. However, what really surprised us was the sauerkraut soup served for breakfast. And its taste is truly divine.
During the summer, there is also a very beautiful and cozy terrace. Most importantly, the restaurant has a Montessori-inspired corner for children. For us, this is a big advantage when choosing cafes and restaurants with kids. In addition, there is a children’s menu that follows healthy nutrition recommendations and suits children’s tastes.
