Although there are many thermal pools in the Zakopane region, our family chose Terma Bania thermal pools. We loved this place. Therefore, we sincerely recommend adding it to your travel list, especially if you plan a trip to Zakopane.

Terma Bania pools in Zakopane is a modern thermal pool complex – perfect with children. Located in the town of Białka Tatrzańska, about 22 km from Zakopane. This water park offers many attractions and relaxation options for the whole family. Therefore, we highly recommend visiting it while staying in Zakopane or exploring the Tatra Mountains.
The water park stands in a truly beautiful place at the foot of the mountains. While swimming in the pools, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the mountains. Meanwhile, ski lifts move above the pools.
Terma Bania is special because it offers many outdoor attractions for children. We have visited many water parks in Poland. However, none of them had as many outdoor attractions as this one.
There are three main zones in the complex. The fun zone is designed for families with children. Here you will find water slides, pools with artificial waves, geysers, water cannons, and whirlpools. In addition, there are many water slides for different ages.
The relaxation zone is for visitors who want peace and rest. Here you can enjoy warm thermal pools and admire the views of the Tatra Mountains.
There are also areas designed for adults. These include various saunas, a salt cave, whirlpools, and a cold water pool. In addition, free sauna ceremonies take place every day.
Opening hours and prices
Terma Bania is open every day from 9:00 to 22:00. However, tickets are cheaper when you buy them online. At the ticket office they are slightly more expensive.
Ticket prices depend on the selected zone and the length of your visit. In addition, evening tickets are usually cheaper in many thermal pools in the region. At Terma Bania tickets are also cheaper after 16:00.
We also chose an evening visit. It was a great experience. While it was still light outside, we enjoyed the water slides and attractions. Later, when it got dark, we relaxed in the warm thermal pools.
How to get there and useful information
If you travel by public transport from Zakopane, you can take the “Szos-Mig” buses. They depart from the Zakopane PKS station and stop close to the Terma Bania complex. Visitors traveling by car will also find a paid parking area next to the complex.
Terma Bania is a great place to relax and have fun for both adults and children while enjoying warm thermal water and beautiful views of the Tatra Mountains.
Near Terma Bania there is also an impressive and luxurious four-star hotel called Hotel Bania. If you have a larger travel budget, we highly recommend staying there because the hotel is truly impressive.
If you travel to Zakopane, we also recommend visiting the beautiful and peaceful resort town of Białka Tatrzańska. In our opinion, it is much calmer and more charming than Zakopane. At the same time, most hiking trails and main attractions are located within about 20 kilometers.
When we visited the Polish mountains and Zakopane, we stayed here as well. Our biggest recommendation is the PodKotelnica hotel. It is a perfect place for a family holiday in the mountains.
