New space and playground in Grigiškės – it was a long-awaited space for local residents, and it opened next to the Church of the Holy Spirit in Grigiškės. In this public space, you will find a community gathering square, a children’s playground, calm relaxation areas, renovated walking paths, and benches.
Also, the children’s playground is really interesting and fun for children. In addition, it has a soft surface, so it is also suitable for younger children.
It is great that residents themselves actively contributed to planting greenery in the public space – during community work, they planted more than a thousand shrubs together.
It will be especially nice to visit this place in spring and summer, because Grigiškės will have not only a great new leisure space, but also a wonderful public beach. Also, if you did not know, the Tauro Hill park in the city center has been beautifully renewed. At the end of 2024, workers completed the renovation of Tauro Hill. During these works, they installed two children’s playgrounds in the park. They combine modern and natural design and match the park’s landscape. In addition, you will find an outdoor gym on the upper terrace of the hill, and you can reach more park areas by paths without stairs from Pamėnkalnio, Tauro, V. Kudirkos, and V. Mykolaičio-Putino streets.
At the top of Tauro Hill, the playground has a soft surface, and the design is very modern and interesting. It is great that it is truly innovative and different from others. There are no similar playgrounds in Vilnius. Although the playground is officially designed for children from 5 years old, even younger children will find activities here.
