Family-friendly manors in Lithuania: entertainment for children
Pakruojis Manor
The first manor buildings stood as wooden structures. Later, between 1817–1840, the owners used local materials to create the brick manor palace ensemble. In 1835–1840 they also designed a large English-style park. Today Pakruojis Manor operates as a functioning, “living” architectural heritage site where visitors can experience authentic late 19th-century manor life. The manor welcomes the local community, guests, and tourists from Lithuania and all around the world.
Pakruojis Manor is one of the most suitable places for families with children in Lithuania, and we have written about it on our blog more than once – and definitely for a good reason. Activities take place here all year round: educational programs, exhibitions, performances, celebrations and festivals are held constantly. The manor is especially famous for its large seasonal events and festivals.

Entertainment at Pakruojis Manor
The festival of blossoms and movie stars, which started on June 21, will delight visitors until September 14. It is the largest summer flower festival in Northern Europe, where blooming flower beds, impressive performances in film sets, gigantic sculptures and all-day activities await you.
The manor’s territory now has 15 hectares of flower compositions, more than 400 flower species, gigantic sculptures and a 2,500 m² flower garden called “Ocean”. The spaces resemble a real film set – with directors, actors, an audience and the chance to join the action. Live performances recreate movie scenes, from historical dramas to action films.
In the manor you will also find traditional crafts, an animal farm and exhibitions dedicated to Lithuanian cinema, including original costumes, old equipment and backstage elements. You can visit film workshops, try makeup, sound effects, and try on an authentic historical costume.
If you are still considering whether it is worth going with children – we promise it is. We have also experienced a moment when a child at the start of the trip did not feel excited, but once we arrived, everyone, including the little ones, felt amazed by how much there is to see and do. It is not only the beautiful environment – there are many activities, educational programs and tours that involve the whole family. We truly recommend Pakruojis Manor and encourage you to visit the ongoing festival. The full program and tickets are available on the official Pakruojis Manor website.
There are enough activities for the whole day, and for your convenience, you can enjoy a meal, have a good coffee or join tastings. And if you wish, you can plan an entire weekend here with an overnight stay.
