Zoo in Barcelona (Zoo de Barcelona) is one of the most visited attractions in Barcelona, located in the very heart of the city, in Ciutadella Park. This zoo is known for its history, modern animal care, and educational programs. It is not the largest, but it is definitely cozy, well maintained, and there are truly many animals here.
We visited this zoo when we were in Barcelona with children.
The famous zoo focuses mainly on three key areas: information dissemination, scientific research, and the protection of endangered animals. It is home to more than 400 animal species. It is a great place where children can learn more about nature and its beauty.
In the zoo you will also find restaurants and cafés, and you can enjoy pony rides.
