Amberton Klaipėda Hotel: accommodation in the centre of Klaipėda, next to the Old Town, which means that many of the city’s attractions can be reached on foot. After a day in the city, there is no need to think about what else to do – you can go for a swim in the pool, have dinner at one of the panoramic restaurants and simply enjoy your stay.
Amberton Klaipėda Hotel: accommodation in the centre of Klaipėda. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. Amberton Hotel Klaipėda is located on Naujojo Sodo Street, right in the city centre and next to Klaipėda Old Town.
When travelling with children, this is always a big advantage for us. You can leave the car at the hotel and explore a large part of Klaipėda on foot, while in the evening there is no need for a long drive back to your accommodation.
In the morning, you can enjoy a filling breakfast, spend the day exploring Klaipėda Old Town and visiting the city’s attractions on foot, and then return to the hotel for a swim in the pool. In the evening, there is no need to drive anywhere, as you can have dinner in the same building while enjoying panoramic views of Klaipėda.
Rooms – choose according to your family’s needs
Amberton Hotel Klaipėda is a large 4+ star hotel with 218 rooms in various categories, ranging from standard rooms to family rooms and apartments.
The hotel is very large, so there is a wide choice of rooms. We stayed in a spacious two-room family apartment in the main building. We had separate rooms, a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious hallway. For those looking for a different experience, the hotel also offers rooms with views of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. Families can choose more spacious rooms, including family apartments with two bedrooms and a separate living room.
Special 15% discount for you on all room categories until 30 November. Use the code ATOSTOGOS when making your reservation on the Amberton Hotel website.
Swimming pool – a big advantage when travelling with children
One of the facilities we definitely made use of during our stay was the swimming pool. Hotel guests can visit the Central Gym sports and leisure area, which has a 20-metre swimming pool and two saunas. Access to this area is included in the stay for hotel guests.
When travelling with children, having a swimming pool at the hotel is always a big advantage for us. This is especially useful in Klaipėda, where even in summer the weather does not always allow you to spend the whole day outdoors. After walking around the city, being able to return to the hotel and go for a swim was a fun additional activity for the children and gave us a chance to relax a little. Just imagine how nice it is to be able to go swimming even on a rainy day – something that can certainly happen during summer in Klaipėda.
The hotel is also home to East Island SPA, which offers massages, treatments and a separate relaxation area – a peaceful oasis for parents. There is also a children’s playroom and a hair salon. These services are provided by businesses operating within the hotel premises, but it is very convenient to have everything close by.
Breakfast – one of the highlights of our stay
We would especially like to mention the breakfast because we really enjoyed it. Breakfast is served buffet-style at the Klaipėda restaurant-gallery. There is a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, eggs, pancakes, bread, fresh vegetables, fruit, pastries and desserts.
One particularly fun detail for families with children is the opportunity to make your own waffles. Small things like this often turn breakfast into a separate experience for children during the stay.
Dinner with panoramic views of Klaipėda
The hotel has several restaurants, two of which offer panoramic views. Restaurant XII is located on the 12th floor and offers a 360-degree panorama of Klaipėda, including views of the city centre, Old Town, port, Curonian Lagoon and, in the distance, the Baltic Sea.
Even higher, on the 20th floor at a height of 70 metres, you will find the panoramic VIVALAVITA restaurant, offering views of the Curonian Spit, the port and the Baltic Sea.
During our stay, we had dinner at Restaurant XII with panoramic city views, and it became one of the most memorable experiences of our stay. It is especially beautiful in the evening, when the city gradually lights up and dinner becomes a lovely way to end the day. We really enjoyed the food, and everyone found dishes they liked.
After dinner, head up to the Sky Terrace – an open rooftop terrace where you can relax and admire the views of Klaipėda at night. DJs perform here and various other events are also held.
