Latvia truly offers many interesting places to visit with family. However, if this time you are mainly interested in amusement parks in Latvia, these five options are definitely worth your attention. These are places where not only children have fun. In fact, you may want to try some activities yourself instead of just watching the kids enjoy themselves.

Amusement parks in Latvia remain one of our favorite travel themes. For example, our family has already visited one of these parks three times. If we keep coming back, that clearly says a lot. Meanwhile, if your family prefers calmer experiences, you will also find parks that do not require too much energy yet still guarantee a great day.

Amusement parks we recommend visiting when traveling to Latvia
AB park
AB park is the largest amusement park in the Baltic States, located just about an hour from Riga. It covers a massive 28-hectare area filled with activities for the whole family. Here you will find everything from gentle carousels and train rides for the youngest visitors to more thrilling attractions, trampolines, and even virtual reality experiences for older children and adults.
What impressed us most, however, was the pricing model. All attractions are included in the ticket price, so there is no need to calculate or limit anything. Additionally, younger children can enjoy an entire play town inspired by the animated film “Avārijas Brigāde.” Meanwhile, older kids can endlessly move between trampolines, slides, mini golf, roller coasters, and many other exciting activities.
Another major highlight is the water entertainment area. On a hot summer day, you can easily plan to spend the entire day here. The children’s water zone sits conveniently near the main attractions and features slides and interactive water games. Moreover, slightly further away you will discover a true family favorite: ERGO water world. This enormous inflatable water park on a pond offers climbing structures, slides, and obstacles. Most importantly, time here is unlimited.
One particularly unique attraction stands out. Even the youngest visitors can use a specially designed trampoline where parents jump together with their little ones. Therefore, the whole family can participate. We personally enjoyed the experience with our youngest daughter Paule, who was only 2.5 years old.
Overall, the park is so large that we discovered new attractions even during our third visit. You can read more about our full experience in article.
↩︎ Back to listTērvete nature park
Tērvete nature park is one of the most popular destinations for families with children in Latvia, especially when you want a break from the city. Here you can walk among fairy-tale characters, wooden sculptures, gnome villages, towers, trails, and many small details designed for younger visitors. Additionally, a small train operates within the park.
The park’s spacious territory works perfectly for families. You will find benches, picnic shelters, restrooms, and paths suitable even for strollers. Moreover, the park features a small butterfly house. Inside this tropical space, colorful butterflies fly freely around visitors and occasionally land directly on your hand.
Before visiting, prepare comfortable footwear, bring some snacks, and plan enough time. Once you arrive, you will likely want to stay longer.
↩︎ Back to listVentspils adventure park
If you still have energy after water activities, land adventures await nearby. Ventspils adventure park is a large outdoor entertainment area offering plenty of active experiences for both children and adults. Here you can ride the all-season toboggan track, head up the “Lemberga Hüte” hill, explore rope courses in the trees, or enjoy trampolines.
The selection of activities is truly wide. For example, visitors can try bumper cars, inflatable attractions, and children’s play areas. Meanwhile, thrill-seekers can test a catapult, laser battles, or even disc golf. In addition, children can experience a dedicated driving school.
Activities available here include:
- All-season toboggan track
- Bumper cars
- Bumper boats
- Trampoline boats
- Rope courses in trees
- Paintball, laser tag, airsoft shooting range
- Wake park
- Catapult and trampoline complex
- Camera suction track

- Children’s driving school

- Frisbee football field and more
Importantly, the park also offers comfortable resting areas. Between activities, families can sit down, have snacks, and relax before the next round of fun.
During winter, the park operates as well. A synthetic ski hill opens with lifts, a toboggan track, trampolines, and illuminated slopes. Therefore, if weather conditions are favorable, you can plan an active family weekend even in colder months.
If you still have energy afterward, visit the Ventspils water park. About it and other water activities in Latvia you can read in the article – Water parks and swimming pools in Latvia.
↩︎ Back to listTarzan adventure park
If you have visited TARZANIJA near Alytus, you already know what a day full of adrenaline and outdoor fun feels like. Meanwhile, in Latvia, Tarzan adventure park in Sigulda offers an even larger and more diverse experience. The park sits in the scenic Gauja river valley.
This is the largest open-air adventure park in the Baltic States. Here activities suit toddlers, teenagers, and adults alike. The park is particularly famous for its impressive rope courses featuring around 100 different obstacles. Moreover, one of the most exciting highlights is the longest zipline ride in Latvia. It allows visitors to glide across the Gauja valley while enjoying spectacular panoramic views.
Younger children can try specially adapted courses in lower trees. Additionally, they can use trampolines, ride the toboggan track, or enjoy giant swings. In addition, the park offers climbing walls, spider nets, a catapult, mini karts, and even virtual reality attractions.
After an active day, families can rest at the cozy on-site café. Meanwhile, nearby picnic areas provide beautiful views of the Gauja river valley.
↩︎ Back to listLīču Ganības
Between the forests of Tērvete and Jelgava you will find a place that resembles a true childhood paradise: Līču Ganības. This is not a classic amusement park. Instead, it is a cozy, family-friendly space where children run freely while parents relax.
Children will find more than 20 different activities. These include slides, jumping hills, swings, pedal cars, a cheerful train ride, mini golf, disc golf, trampolines, and even a velohopper. Activities suit children aged 2 to 12, so families with kids of different ages will easily find suitable entertainment.
Meanwhile, parents can enjoy shaded seating areas, picnic shelters, and tables. You can bring your own snacks, rest comfortably, and watch the children play. Importantly, the park’s compact layout keeps children visible at all times. At the same time, the area provides enough space for relaxed movement without unnecessary distractions.
