From December 12, Lithuania’s largest manor will be filled with the scents of Christmas trees and gingerbread, millions of lights will sparkle, performances and parades will take place. As well an ice rink will open with spectacular ice shows by professional figure skaters, a cosy Christmas market will come to life, and Santa Clauses from nine European countries will establish their own embassies.
The biggest festival of this winter, “Christmas Kingdom” at Pakruojis Manor, will invite visitors to return to the world of genuine, cosy Christmas celebrations reminiscent of childhood.
The Biggest Festival of This Winter at Pakruojis Manor
After Seven Major Light Festivals – A Return to the True Spirit of Christmas
Pakruojis Manor, which has amazed visitors for many years with spectacular light and lantern festivals, is welcoming this winter with a new festive vision. Instead of fantastical worlds of illuminated sculptures, we will create a kingdom of traditional Christmas celebrations, where authenticity, warmth and festive moments shared together will take centre stage.
“We were pioneers of major light and lantern festivals not only in Lithuania but also in Europe. After organising seven unique festivals of illuminated sculptures and taking a creative break, we decided to return to what we believe people today miss the most. We want to create the kind of Christmas we remember from childhood or see in vintage postcards. With real Christmas trees, countless twinkling lights, warmth, Santa Clauses and traditions. We want people not only to admire the surroundings but also to become part of the celebration themselves, creating memories together that will last for years,” says the creative team at Pakruojis Manor.
However, the magic of colourful lights will not be absent from this festival either. Festive light installations illuminating the manor park will add even more charm to a visit to the Christmas Kingdom.
Nine Santa Claus Embassies – One Kingdom
This winter, Pakruojis Manor will also become an unusual international meeting place for Santa Clauses. As many as nine Santa Claus embassies representing different European countries are expected to be established here. These will not simply be nine identical Santa Clauses from different countries. But a celebration of Christmas traditions from nine nations, brought together in one kingdom to share their stories, customs and festive magic.
The kingdom will come alive with festive games and activities for children. Visitors can enjoy spectacular ice shows and musical performances on the Christmas Kingdom stage. A theatrical musical parade and other unexpected attractions will add even more excitement to the celebrations.
Visitors can explore the Gingerbread Factory, Christmas Costume Workshop and festive photo studio. They will also discover the Christmas Drinks Distillery and many more surprises.
The cosy Christmas market will fill the air with the scents of cinnamon, freshly baked treats and warm drinks. Visitors can enjoy these festive aromas as they explore the manor. The market will offer unique gifts and festive treats for themselves and their loved ones.
A Surprise for Ice Skating Enthusiasts
This year, the manor will surprise visitors with a special new winter attraction – an ice rink created by the North Wind. The 450-square-metre ice rink will become one of the main gathering places in the Christmas Kingdom.
The ice rink will also serve as a stage for spectacular ice shows performed by professional figure skaters. They will not only demonstrate their talents but also share tips and offer short lessons to visitors throughout the evening.
Kilometres of Twinkling Lights and a Walk Through a Christmas Postcard
The entire manor will be beautifully decorated for Christmas – its buildings, courtyards, pathways and park. Thousands of real Christmas trees and kilometres of warmly glowing lights will transform the historic manor grounds into a living Christmas postcard. We are inviting visitors to pause, look around and discover new details at every turn.
Visitors will encounter illuminated carousels, a fairytale Cinderella carriage and themed photo areas. Christmas stories, an engaging programme for the whole family and a lively festive atmosphere will create unforgettable experiences throughout the celebration.
The Christmas Kingdom will welcome everyone. From families to larger groups, organisations and company teams, with assistance available to help them plan an unforgettable festive visit.
The “Christmas Kingdom” at Pakruojis Manor will welcome visitors from December 12. It will be a place where children discover fairytales and adults remember how wonderful it feels to believe in them.
