With small kids, sometimes all you need is a pool, a slide, and a playroom. However, when you travel with teens, the expectations are much higher – activities need to be more grown-up, and relaxation should offer freedom, action, and choice. That’s why this time, we tried Grand SPA Lietuva in Druskininkai with teens.
Grand SPA Lietuva proved convenient for families with teens. You don’t have to plan separate holidays for each family member’s needs – everything is in one hotel. Older kids often want something different – water fun, sports, saunas, and good food. One of the biggest advantages of Grand SPA Lietuva with teens is that many activities are great for the whole family.

Accommodation at Grand SPA Lietuva with Teens
When traveling with teens, space is one of the most important factors when choosing a hotel. As kids get older, one standard room for the whole family is rarely the best option – you want more space and a bit of privacy.
At Grand SPA Lietuva, families can choose not only regular double rooms, but also spacious suites, connecting rooms, or apartments. For example, a suite has a pull-out sofa bed and can sleep up to four people, so it’s ideal for a family with one or two older kids.
An even more convenient option for families with teens is to book two connecting double rooms. These rooms have shared doors, so parents and kids have separate spaces, but everyone stays close.
If you need even more space, you can choose Dzūkija apartments. A one-bedroom apartment includes a bedroom and a living room with a pull-out sofa bed, so up to four people can stay. Apartments also feature a mini-kitchen and a terrace. That’s where we stayed this time.
This variety of accommodation makes Grand SPA Lietuva comfortable not only for families with small kids. With teens, you can plan a stay that includes both family time and enough personal space.
Water park – not just for young kids
If your teen rolls their eyes at the idea of a “hotel pool,” Grand SPA Lietuva’s water area is much more than a basic pool. It’s a water park, with all the attractions you’d expect.
There’s a long swimming pool, a wave pool, a wild river, waterfalls, slides, whirlpools, and a family slide. Waves, the wild river, and more active water attractions are, in our opinion, a must for families with older kids. Teens can also use the same spaces as adults.
Saunas and ice room – more fun for older kids
This time, we discovered the sauna zone. The water park at Grand SPA Lietuva has different types of saunas – steam, infrared, Finnish, outdoor, and hammam. After the heat, you can try the ice room. Different sauna programs are available.
Greta and Oskaras enjoyed the saunas, the mineral water pool, and especially the ice room!
With older kids, you can also try treatments – from massages and baths to various body and SPA rituals. Grand SPA Lietuva offers special treatments for children aged 4 to 13. If you’re traveling with teens, check with the SPA desk in advance for the recommended ages for each treatment.
By the way, we walked to the water park from the Dzūkija hotel. Guests from other Grand SPA Lietuva hotels have separate changing and storage areas. It’s very convenient and comfortable.
Food at Grand SPA Lietuva – hearty breakfasts and cozy dinners
Our kids know exactly what they want to eat, so it’s important to have not only good breakfasts but enough options for lunch and dinner.
You can book your stay at Grand SPA Lietuva with breakfast, or sometimes with other meals included. Breakfast is served buffet style, which is really convenient when traveling with teens – everyone can pick what they like. We especially loved that you can freshly bake crispy heart pancakes.
You can have breakfast at the main hotel or at the “Druskininkai” hotel.
For dinner, one of our favorite choices was the panoramic restaurant “Keturi vėjai.” It stands out not just for food, but for its atmosphere and views, so dinner can become an experience on its own. Traveling with older kids, we liked that teens enjoy not just eating, but also going to a nice restaurant, choosing something interesting, and making dinner part of the whole trip.
One evening, we chose this restaurant in Druskininkai. We highly recommend it. The food is varied, fresh, and delicious. The doughnuts from the kids’ menu are sure to impress even the pickiest teens.
If you’re planning a longer stay, it’s also convenient that you don’t need to look for restaurants in Druskininkai every time – you can eat right at the hotel. If you want a change of scenery, Grand SPA Lietuva is in the center of Druskininkai – you’ll find other restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away.
Big advantage – hotel location
When traveling with teens, it’s great when you don’t have to plan something for them every hour of the day.
At Grand SPA Lietuva, you can combine accommodation, breakfast and dinner, the water park, saunas, sports, and SPA – all in one place. The room price includes breakfast, unlimited access to the water park and gym, and mineral water at the drinking fountain.
The complex is also right in the center of Druskininkai, so you can easily mix your holiday with city attractions. Druskininkai water park, which launched two new slides this year, and UNO park are both very close. This year, we even tried water cruises in Druskininkai – all just a few minutes’ walk away.
If you’re looking for a weekend spot in Druskininkai where parents can truly relax and older kids won’t keep asking “what do we do now?” – Grand SPA Lietuva with teens is definitely worth adding to your list.
