We unexpectedly discovered a place in Vilnius that surprised both us and our child. This new leisure area with a playground offers much more than you might expect at first. Here, you will find a massive green praying mantis for kids to climb, a free bouldering zone, a professional climbing wall that rises 22 meters high, and a lush garden with nearly 40,000 plants. There are also free sports areas. All of this is not in an amusement park, but at the Business Garden Vilnius business campus in Lazdynai. And all these spaces are FREE. If you are looking for new and lesser-known places in Vilnius with kids, be sure to save this one. We visited and were pleasantly surprised – the area is modern, green, very well maintained, and activities are suitable not only for little ones but also for older children and adults.
New leisure area with a playground in Vilnius
This new leisure area with a playground is located in the Business Garden Vilnius territory on Laisvės Avenue, Lazdynai. At first, it may seem unusual to take your kids to a business district, but here you’ll find one of the most interesting active leisure spaces in the city. Business Garden Vilnius covers 6.2 hectares next to LITEXPO and Lazdynai Forest. Its concept included not only offices but also green, sports, and relaxation spaces from the very start.
The newest part of the complex, next to the multi-story parking garage, features children’s play and climbing areas. In 2026, Lithuania’s tallest open-air climbing wall was also installed here.

Leisure area with a playground in Vilnius, highlighted by a giant praying mantis
The standout feature of the playground is a giant green praying mantis-shaped structure. It looks truly impressive. Kids can climb ropes, ladders, and chains, test their balance, crawl underneath, and slide down.
This is not your typical small playground. The “praying mantis” is large, with many climbing options, so it’s fun for older kids as well.

Another surprise: free climbing zone and Lithuania’s tallest open-air climbing wall
Right next to the “mantis” is another unique structure – a complex of gray and green geometric “rocks” with many colorful holds.
This 4.7-meter climbing structure is designed to mimic a spider-shaped rock. Kids and adults can both use it, and the area is free. You climb at a low height here, so you don’t need ropes or special safety systems. The protected surface below ensures safety.
We especially liked that you can just come here for a walk and active fun, even if you don’t plan to use the professional climbing wall.
But the most striking feature is revealed when you look up. On the facade of the multi-story parking garage is a 22-meter climbing wall.
This is currently the tallest open-air climbing wall in Lithuania. It offers routes of varying difficulty – from a 10-meter wall for beginners to 22-meter routes for those seeking more challenge. There are also six auto-belay lines and an Olympic speed climbing route built to official standards.
Even though the wall may look like it’s only for professionals, that’s not the case. Beginners and children can climb, too. First-timers are encouraged to come when BONOBO instructors are working – they explain safety rules and climbing basics. Kids under 16 can climb under parental or guardian supervision.

“The secret garden” you don’t expect to find in a business complex
Business Garden Vilnius is worth visiting not only for the new play and climbing areas. Be sure to visit the older part of the campus between the office buildings.
Here, you’ll find a place we would call Vilnius’s secret garden.
The most interesting part is that, as you walk among the trees, bushes, and flowerbeds, you might not even realize part of this green space sits atop the roof of an underground parking garage. It’s not a rooftop garden on a tall building – you walk at ground level between the buildings, but parking is below some of the green area.
There are winding paths, raised concrete flowerbeds, benches, and a huge variety of plants. The landscaped area covers almost 4,000 square meters and features nearly 40,000 plants. Open House Vilnius calls this one of the most ambitious green spaces of its kind near business centers in Lithuania.
We highly recommend not limiting your visit to the new playground. Walk towards the older Business Garden Vilnius office buildings and explore their inner green spaces. The contrast between the modern business center and the almost park-like atmosphere is very surprising. There are plenty of benches, rest areas, and places to have lunch or a mini picnic with kids.
A complete active leisure complex
Business Garden Vilnius aims to create a space where work blends with movement, relaxation, and nature, not a closed office area. That’s why you’ll find much more to do throughout the territory.
There are sports courts, outdoor workout equipment, table tennis tables, pedestrian and bicycle paths, an amphitheater, and other relaxation spaces. In recent years, the complex has added padel courts as well.
The entire area naturally connects to the nearby Lazdynai Forest, so despite the huge office buildings and parking lot, there is a lot of greenery here.
What surprised us most is that you come to a business campus not expecting to find a space so well suited for families. In one place, you can try the giant praying mantis, climb in the free area, admire the impressive 22-meter wall, and then take a relaxing walk among thousands of plants. In fact, we discovered this area when coming for a business meeting and realized it’s worth returning with kids.
