However, if you have the opportunity, we recommend arriving just before sunset. This way, you can experience both sides of the park. During the day, you can explore the surroundings and try the swings. After dark, the real attraction begins – the very thing that makes this place so special.

The Illuminated swing park is located in Vytautas the Great Park in the town of Darbėnai, next to Melnyčia Pond. Although the swings have now become perhaps its biggest attraction, the park itself is worth spending much more time in. This is an old recreation area in Darbėnai. After Lithuania declared independence, the town became known as a summer resort, while the pond and the pine forest next to it attracted holidaymakers.
Today, Vytautas the Great Park is perfect for a peaceful family break in nature. You can swim and fish in the clear Melnyčia Pond, while the park also has recreation areas and fire pits. In addition to the famous swing park, children can also find small gnome houses. So, in summer, it is worth arriving well before dark: swim, enjoy nature, let the children play, and finish the evening at the illuminated swing park.
