This is exactly the kind of stay we experienced at Amberton Hotel Klaipėda, located right in the city centre, where our family weekend was complemented by a swimming pool, breakfast that we especially enjoyed, and dinner overlooking Klaipėda from above.

One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. Amberton Hotel Klaipėda is located on Naujojo Sodo Street, right in the city centre and next to Klaipėda Old Town.
When travelling with children, this is always a major advantage for us. You can leave the car behind and explore a large part of Klaipėda on foot, without having to drive far back to your accommodation in the evening.
In the morning, you can enjoy a filling breakfast, spend the day walking around Klaipėda Old Town and visiting the city’s attractions, and then return to the hotel for a swim. In the evening, there is no need to drive anywhere, as you can have dinner in the same building while enjoying panoramic views of Klaipėda.
These are exactly the kind of hotels we enjoy when travelling with children – when accommodation becomes not just a place to sleep, but part of the whole trip.
For us, an important part of our stay was what we could do in the city itself. Our first plan was a new seaside attraction – a trip aboard the largest leisure boat in Lithuania from Klaipėda to Juodkrantė.

The hotel is very large, so there is a wide choice of rooms. We stayed in a spacious family apartment in the main building. We had separate rooms, a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious hallway.
For those looking for a different experience, the hotel also offers rooms with views of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. Families can choose more spacious rooms, including family apartments with two bedrooms and a separate living room.

Swimming Pool – a Big Advantage When Travelling with Children
One of the facilities we definitely wanted to use during our stay was the swimming pool.
Hotel guests can visit the Central Gym sports and leisure area, which has a 20-metre swimming pool and two saunas. Access to this area is included for hotel guests.
When travelling with children, having a swimming pool at the hotel is always a big advantage for us. This is especially relevant in Klaipėda, where even in summer the weather does not always allow you to plan the entire day outdoors.
After walking around the city, being able to return to the hotel and go for a swim was a fun additional activity for the children and an opportunity for us to relax a little. Imagine how nice it is to be able to go to the pool even on a rainy day, which can certainly happen during summer at the seaside.
The hotel is also home to East Island SPA, offering massages, treatments and a separate relaxation area. A separate little oasis for parents.
There is also a children’s playroom and a hair salon in the hotel. These services are provided by tenants operating within the hotel premises, but it is very convenient to have everything close by.
Breakfast – One of the Most Pleasant Discoveries of Our Stay
We want to highlight the breakfast separately because we really enjoyed it.
Breakfast is served buffet-style at the Klaipėda restaurant-gallery. There is a wide choice of hot and cold dishes, eggs, pancakes, bread, fresh vegetables, fruit, pastries and desserts.
A particularly fun detail for families with children is the opportunity to make your own waffles. Small things like this often turn breakfast into a separate activity for children during the stay.
We liked not only the variety, but also the fact that everyone found something they wanted to eat – both children and adults.
If a good hotel breakfast is an important part of your trip, we would definitely include this among the advantages of Amberton Hotel Klaipėda.
Dinner with a Panoramic View of Klaipėda
Although our room did not have a panoramic view, we certainly did not miss one during dinner.
There are several restaurants in the hotel, two of which are panoramic. Restaurant XII is located on the 12th floor and offers a 360-degree panorama of Klaipėda. From here, you can see the city centre, the Old Town, the port, the Curonian Lagoon and, in the distance, the Baltic Sea.
Even higher, on the 20th floor at a height of 70 metres, is the panoramic restaurant VIVALAVITA, offering views of the Curonian Spit, the port and the Baltic Sea.
During our stay, we had dinner at Restaurant XII with panoramic views of the city, and it became one of the nicest experiences of our stay.
It is especially beautiful in the evening, when the city gradually lights up and dinner becomes a pleasant way to end the day. We had a very tasty meal, and everyone found dishes they enjoyed.
If you stay at this hotel, we definitely recommend including a panoramic dinner in your plans.
After dinner, head up to the Sky Terrace – an open rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy views of Klaipėda at night. DJs perform here and other events are also held.
