If you think Lithuania’s adventure parks can no longer surprise you, think again. Taurai Park in Tauragė is one of those places that proves otherwise. We thought we had already visited the best entertainment parks in Lithuania. However, Taurai Park exceeded our expectations. It features one of the most impressive net parks in Lithuania, extreme tree climbing courses, two thrilling tubing tracks, a sensory trail, and many other activities. Our children enjoyed it so much that they did not want to leave. Therefore, if you are looking for things to do in Tauragė with children, Taurai Park is an easy recommendation. It is also worth visiting from other cities in Lithuania.
Taurai Park in Tauragė – one of Lithuania’s most impressive adventure parks
We had heard about Taurai Park in Tauragė several times. However, in reality, it was much larger and more impressive than we expected. Many adventure parks focus on a few climbing courses. Taurai Park is different. It is a complete active leisure complex with enough activities to fill an entire day. Most importantly, the activities suit children of different ages and adults too.
As soon as you enter Taurai Park in Tauragė, it becomes clear that a few hours will not be enough. The park covers a large area and offers more than just attractions. You will also find hammocks, relaxation areas, cabins, and picnic spaces. Another great advantage is that park admission is free. You only pay for the activities you choose to use. If only your children take part in the activities, you do not need to pay an entrance fee.
Probably the most impressive net park in Lithuania and the ORE area
The giant net park was the highlight for our entire family. It is difficult to show its size in photos. Once you arrive, you realize just how impressive this space is. Children can climb, run, jump, and explore different routes. The experience feels completely different from a regular playground. Our kids simply did not want to leave. The attraction includes a three-level net park, net corridors between the trees, and various passages. For both us and the children, it was easily one of the most impressive net parks we have visited. The area has also been completely renovated. So, if you have visited before, it is worth coming back.
The park also features the ORE trampoline area. This is much more than a regular trampoline zone. The 250-square-meter space gives children plenty of room to jump, climb, play, and burn off energy. In addition to trampolines, there is a creative corner and various educational toys. Therefore, even the youngest children have plenty to do. The ORE area is also a great option when the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities. Birthday parties and other celebrations can also be held here.
Tree climbing courses – from first challenges to maximum adrenaline
The tree climbing courses also attracted plenty of attention. There are several routes designed for different ages and ability levels. As a result, both younger children and teenagers can test their skills. We especially liked that safety harnesses are available for younger children like Paulė. There is also a course designed specifically for them. Finally, Paulė could try her first tree-climbing adventure.
Extreme tubing tracks
The tubing tracks were another attraction we returned to several times. The ride itself lasts only a few moments, but it creates plenty of excitement. One of the tracks ends with a landing on an airbag. At other parks, Motiejus was often not heavy enough to try this attraction. Here, however, he could finally enjoy it. He had such a great time that his smile lasted until the evening. Paulė could also try the ride with her dad. The park offers a two-person tube, making the experience suitable for parents and children. I am especially grateful to Taurai Park because one of their enthusiastic employees convinced me to try it too. I had to step outside my comfort zone, but it was definitely worth it.
Sensory trail and activities for the whole family
If you want to take a break from the more active attractions, try the sensory trail. Walking across different natural surfaces is a fun experience for both children and adults. Taurų Park also offers many other activities, play areas, and spaces for relaxation. Everyone can choose their own pace and enjoy the park in their own way. There is also a snack bar and a café a little further away.
