Travel to Atlantis, the dark side of the moon, a flooded forest, a raised bog, a mushroom-covered bridge, or a city of the future. In Vilnius, street artists offer you a ticket to other worlds. Meanwhile, everyone spending their summer in the capital is invited to try the free “Neakivaizdinis Vilnius” street art orienteering game “Vilniaus gatvės – prie meno (Vilnius streets – bringing art closer)” and win prizes. The newest neofrescoes are now part of the updated and expanded themed route.

New street art orienteering game launches in Vilnius
We have an answer for everyone wondering what to do in Vilnius this summer – a free street art orienteering game, “Vilniaus gatvės – prie meno,” awaits you. The capital is now bursting with new street art pieces. Additionally, we want to encourage people to rediscover the vibrant life of Vilnius streets and believe that it’s worth embracing the city’s street influence. After all, you’ll find plenty of street art containing meaningful messages about what matters to the city and its residents. An original orienteering game we created is especially for the summer. It will help you discover the most striking works – on building walls, in courtyards, or along the river. “Neakivaizdinis Vilnius” leader Sonata Griškienė invites you to embark on a new city exploration adventure.
Game rules
The “Vilniaus gatvės – prie meno” orienteering street art game will run from July 1 to August 31. During this time, participants will discover five colorful routes, dozens of street art pieces, and challenges that offer new perspectives on Vilnius.
You can join solo or in teams of up to six people. In addition, the game uses GPS on your phone. Once you arrive at a street art piece, a task unlocks (a question, a photo challenge, or a riddle). After that, you complete it to move forward. Finally, everyone who finishes the game can enter to win Vilnius Explorer prizes.
Updated free Vilnius street art route
If you want to discover Vilnius street art, try the updated free route “Vilniaus gatvės menas. Šiandienos miesto metraštis, įamžintas gatvių fasaduose (Vilnius street art. Contemporary chronicle of the city, captured on street facades)”. Additionally, you can explore it on your own at any time.
Interestingly, you’ll now find street art stops in almost every district – from Grigiškės to Antakalnis and Šeškinė, from underpasses to school facades. The route features more than 80 works of street art. The most observant fans will recognize pieces by Lina Šlipavičiūtė, Linas Kaziulionis, Morfai, Ettoja, Mykolė, Kipras Petrulis, and other artists.
Artist L. Kaziulionis shares his thoughts: “I think it’s safe to say street art has become an important part of Vilnius’s identity. There’s more of it now because the city has become more open to creative initiatives. So artists increasingly choose public spaces to communicate with society. This sends a message to residents and visitors that Vilnius is a vibrant, creative, and ever-changing city, where art is part of daily life.”
