Have you heard of AB park? It is the largest amusement and attraction park not only in Latvia but also the largest amusement park in the Baltic states. This is truly a massive and impressive park, with so many attractions that you will not be able to try everything in just one day. However, the most important thing is that the park is designed not only for children but also for adults, who will also find plenty of entertainment here.

The largest amusement park in the Baltic states
AB park, the largest amusement park in the Baltic states, is the “Avarijas Brigade” amusement park, named after a popular Latvian animated series. This park is a fantastic destination for the whole family. Here, entertainment awaits everyone, from the youngest visitors to adults. In our opinion, this is what makes AB park special, as it truly caters to the entire family. While we really enjoy amusement parks in Lithuania, we often miss attractions designed for adults there.
AB park in Latvia is located 60 km east of Riga, on a 28-hectare area. The territory is very large but well maintained and tidy. Most importantly, it is clear that the park continues to expand. This means that when you return the following year, you will find new attractions and activities. We have been visiting AB park for three years in a row, and every year we discover something new and fun.
In fact, the park is so large that only this year did we discover some of its attractions, even though this was already our third visit.
Even if you do not enjoy rides, the park offers many spacious areas for walking and pedal boat rides. There is also a forested area away from the attractions, with walking paths and benches. Here, you can calmly put little ones down for a nap or escape the hot sun.
We really like parks where one ticket includes all attractions. This way, there is no need to limit children who want to ride again and again. When you buy a day ticket, you can enjoy all attractions without limits. You can also purchase a season pass, which allows unlimited visits for the entire season. If we lived in Latvia or closer nearby, we would definitely buy this option, as it is very cost-effective.
Attractions at AB park
For the youngest children, there is a special kids’ play town. It is built based on the “Avarijas Brigade” animated series. Children can also enjoy a train ride, a classic carousel, a special water area for toddlers, and water trampolines for the little ones.
For older children, there are countless activities, ranging from various rides and cars to tubing, mini golf, VR experiences, and different trampolines. It is truly difficult to list all the attractions you can find in the park.
Water activities
We especially like AB park because of its water attractions. It is a real pity that amusement parks in Lithuania do not offer similar water activities. During the warm season, water attractions are particularly popular at AB park. There are many options designed for children of different ages as well as adults. The whole family can enjoy pedal boat rides together. The youngest visitors can play in the water playground. For example, this was one of the most enjoyable attractions for Paula. It is a shame that there are still no such outdoor water activity areas for children in Lithuania during summer.
In addition to the fun mini water park with slides and water games near the rides, there is also the ERGO water world located further at the end of the park. Here, water trampolines are set up in a pond, featuring various obstacles, slides, and climbing elements. The scale of these attractions is truly impressive. Time here is unlimited, so you can enjoy the activities all day if you wish. It is also very convenient that there is a nearby area with changing cabins, benches, and umbrellas.
Most importantly, ERGO water world has a trampoline designed specifically for the youngest children. We have not seen such a fun water trampoline elsewhere, where parents can enjoy the activity together with very young children. Here, our whole family had fun, including our youngest, 2.5-year-old Paula. These water trampolines are a great activity for the entire family.
It is also great that lifeguards are present throughout the park. They maintain order, limit the number of people on the trampolines, and ensure that everyone wears life jackets. Another big advantage is that the park provides life jackets even for the smallest children. Everything is truly well thought out.
Our tips for visiting the park
There are many benches and picnic tables throughout the park. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks, as there are no restrictions. Therefore, you can easily bring your own lunch and enjoy a picnic. In addition, there are many cafés in the park, so you will have no trouble buying food and drinks. Prices are also reasonable. The food is typical fast-food style, so if this suits you and your children, you will not go hungry.
Near the entrance, you can rent carts for carrying items and children. Keep in mind that the park area is large, so this is a very practical option. Children will not get tired, and it will be more convenient overall. The rental price is 5 euros.
The park paths are covered with gravel, so they are not very convenient for children using scooters. If you bring a stroller, make sure it has larger wheels. We found it quite difficult to get around the park with a small city stroller.
Plan to spend the entire day at the park. Time passes very quickly while you try everything and explore the territory, as the park is large and offers plenty of activities for everyone. We arrived almost at opening time and finished our visit just before closing.
It is very convenient that there are benches with umbrellas near the attractions. This makes it comfortable and not too hot while waiting for children on rides. However, we strongly recommend bringing hats and sunscreen.
Be sure to pack swimwear and towels. There are many water activities for everyone.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance. It is also possible to buy annual passes.
There is a free parking lot next to the park. Staff supervise the area, so everything stays well organized and tidy.
Is it worth visiting AB park in Latvia?
A full-day ticket to the amusement park costs 30 euros. Children from the age of 2 need a ticket. You might wonder whether it is worth traveling this far and paying this price, especially when there are similar and cheaper parks in Lithuania.
Our answer is definitely yes. It is always fun and interesting to try something new. Moreover, this is a true family amusement park. We especially want to highlight the water trampolines. If your whole family enjoys water activities, this park is absolutely worth it. In addition, water attractions here are unlimited. Usually, water trampolines cost around 10 euros per hour elsewhere. So, if you spend an hour or two there, enjoy other attractions, ride various rides, play mini golf, and use pedal boats, the value becomes very clear. Fun is guaranteed.

Last year, after visiting the amusement park, we continued our trip to Sigulda. For us, this became a family vacation in Gauja National Park.
In addition, Riga is located very close to the park and offers many attractions for children. You can easily plan a great family weekend by combining Riga and AB park. “Weekend in Riga with children” is our prepared weekend guide, which you can confidently use. And there is also Ventspils and Daugavpils, both offering many family-friendly attractions.
