Skiing in Jonava with kids is a great choice for families looking for a place to learn skiing or for a small ski resort that suits children well. Therefore, we are sharing our impressions from the Jonava Ski Center, which we truly enjoyed.

Skiing in Jonava with kids
Skiing in Jonava with kids can become a great leisure idea for the whole family. In 2015, the ski center opened on the slope of the Joninės Valley and installed ski lifts. At the same time, the center created four different downhill configurations. The longest slope reaches 200 meters. Another slope suits snowboarders well. The third slope follows a straight trajectory and allows faster descents. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the valley, the center built a smaller hill for kids and beginner skiers to practice. In addition, a mini lift operates there and remains easy to use for both kids and adults who have never skied before.

The Jonava Ski Center itself is located right in the city center. Moreover, the Jonava swimming pool is located next to the ski center. Therefore, if you arrive by car, you can park near the Jonava swimming pool and the Jonava Arena. At the same time, the ski center asks visitors not to park near residential buildings.
Learning to ski and instructors
At the Jonava Ski Center, there is an opportunity to learn skiing with instructors. Therefore, if children want to learn skiing or improve their skills, we strongly recommend investing in a private lesson. At the beginning, properly formed skills become the foundation for good skiing and help avoid injuries. Moreover, if you are looking for a good instructor for your child, we recommend going to the Jonava Ski Center and looking for instructor Ovidijus. We have not met such an outstanding instructor anywhere else.
After just one lesson, he provided Motiejus with so much knowledge that Motiejus was already skiing down the main slope independently during the first lesson. Rarely does one find such a competent specialist who not only knows his work perfectly but also knows how to communicate with children. Therefore, we highly recommend this instructor, as he gave Motiejus not only knowledge but also motivation to continue improving his skills.
Useful information
Next to the ski center, equipment rental is also available. For equipment rental, a personal identification document is required. However, if you do not need rental equipment, you can leave your footwear at the rental point.
In addition, you can pay for ski slopes and equipment rental both by card and in cash.
It is important to note that wearing a helmet is mandatory on the ski slopes. Moreover, keep in mind that sledding on the ski slopes is strictly prohibited.
