The Museum of Energy and Technology
This family-friendly space combines industrial heritage, interactive science, and cultural events. On December 28, 2022, the museum opened a new permanent exhibition called the Transformation Hall. It was created from 2018 to 2022. This is the most modern energy-themed exhibition in the Baltic States. The 1,000 sq. m space includes more than twenty interactive exhibits. The exhibition is six metres underground.
The museum also offers guided and thematic tours. It also offers educational programs and workshops for students of different ages. During these sessions, children explore creativity and curiosity. They learn new science knowledge through practical tasks. Energetics and Technology Museum is one of the most interesting technical objects in Vilnius and also in Lithuania.

The idea of 360 Arena came from the wish to create a place where the whole family can enjoy active time together. It is a modern entertainment space covering almost 7,000 sq. m. You will find it in the Pašilaičiai shopping centre, Pavilnionių g. 55 in Vilnius. Visitors can try unique attractions such as ValoArena, HiT iT!, and the Ninja track. The arena also offers air track trampolines and high-level acrobatic trampolines. Additionally, there is a huge toddler zone. Even the smallest visitors can play there with their family.
The arena also provides VIP services, birthday celebrations, training with professional coaches, and a safe environment.

Vichy Water Park in Vilnius is a tropical water adventure world. The park has nine modern attractions. One of them is the Maori Screaming slide, which works like a pendulum and creates a weightless feeling. It is one of the largest indoor water park attractions in the world.
The park also offers a colourful kids’ zone, a wave pool, whirlpools, and a sauna area for adults from age 18. However, there is also an open sauna zone with two saunas for all ages.
Families appreciate the warm air and water temperature throughout the park. It is warm in every season. We live in Vilnius, but we had not visited the park for six years. After we finally went back, we realised we had made a mistake. The park was much better than we expected.

Kartland is a place where kids can enjoy karting from the age of four. Children drive specially adapted karts. At first, an instructor holds the kart. Then, after checking safety, the child can drive alone. The karting track is indoors. Therefore, you can visit it at any time of the year.
Kartland also offers a karting school and clubs. Children learn driving and traffic safety basics. You can celebrate birthdays here too. Kartland is located at Parodų g. 1 in Vilnius. On August 1, 2023, Kartland Max opened. It is the largest indoor electric karting track in Lithuania. You will find Kartland Max at Savanorių pr. 178B in Vilnius.

Automuseum Vilnius opened in 2023. It is located in the old Vilnius taxi park building from the 1970s. The museum is private and the largest historic transport museum in Lithuania. It displays 110 authentic cars and other transport vehicles. They show the history of motorisation from 19th-century carriages to modern classics.
Kids truly enjoy this museum. They can take part in special games. One of them is a detective task where they search for a hidden code. Another is the “Šaltibarščiai Rally”, where children find cars by colour. Young children also have a play area with colouring sheets, LEGO blocks, and a 1970 Ferrari rocking toy.
Older children and parents can try the “Legend Car Fitting” activity. You can sit in a 1908–1927 Ford T, a Vyatka VP 150 scooter, or a KMZ MV-750 military motorcycle.
The museum invites visitors to a free tour on the last Sunday of each month. You pay only for the entrance fee. Then you join the guided tour for free. More information is available on the museum’s website.

Zoopark Vilnius is the first modern indoor zoo in the city. It covers 2,500 sq. m. Almost 90 animal species live here. You can see a pygmy marmoset up close. It is one of the smallest primates in the world. You can also see lemurs, a playful meerkat family, the largest tortoises in Lithuania, and feed colourful lorikeet parrots with nectar.
The zoo owners treat animals like family members. They take care of them every day. Zoopark is located in Ogmios Miestelis at Verkių g. 27. The zoo also offers educational activities. Moreover, you can celebrate birthdays here. They have six spacious birthday rooms where celebrations happen among animals.

The Railway Museum began in 1966. It is located at Geležinkelio g. 16 in the historical 19th-century Vilnius railway station building. Visitors can explore many thematic spaces. These spaces are stations and platforms. For example: the Train Station, the Signals Station, and the Work Station. Visitors can explore railway history on their own or with a guide. Interactive tools make the visit engaging.
The museum has indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Outside, there are four dead-end tracks. They display more than 30 historical railway machines. These include wagons, locomotives, and old steam engines. The indoor exhibition is on the second floor of the station.

Vingis Park is the largest park in Vilnius. Moreover, it sits in a beautiful bend of the Neris River near the city centre. Because of this, it is a very popular place for locals and visitors. People come here for greenery, peace, or active leisure. The park has long walking and cycling paths, outdoor sports areas, and children’s zones. In summer, cafés and rental spots open.

The main stage hosts concerts, festivals, and the Song Festival. When events are not happening, the meadow becomes a quiet place for rest. In warm seasons, people often bring blankets, enjoy picnics, and spend time outdoors.

Balsiai Pumptrack
Five years ago, the first pumptrack in Lithuania opened next to the IKI ŽALI store in Balsiai. Moreover, the ŽALI pumptrack includes two parts. The small track is for beginners. It is 33 metres long and 134 sq. m in size. It is also next to a children’s playground. Meanwhile, the large track is for all ages and skill levels. It is 222 metres long and 600 sq. m in size.
There is also a great playground with a soft surface. Therefore, younger brothers or sisters will also find something fun to do.

Adventica Family Entertainment Park covers almost 5,000 sq. m in the Ozas shopping centre at Ozo g. 18. The park offers fun for every age.
The main difference from other parks is this: Adventica has activities for very young children, but also many attractions for teens and adults. There are activities for every age group. For example: climbing zones, an electric car karting track, interactive walls, and the largest single inflatable trampoline in the Baltic States. It is 500 sq. m. Kids can play basketball there, complete obstacle courses, slide down one of four slides, or jump on the air pillow.
The park also has 14 themed birthday rooms, games, educational activities, rest and work areas for parents, and activities for the whole family. We not only visited Adventica, but also celebrated a birthday here. We truly recommend reading our experience. Kids and adults enjoyed it a lot.

The Centre for Civil Education is a modern space where visitors learn how the state works. It also shows how people can contribute to the country. The main exhibition presents everything in a clear and simple way. New exhibitions about national symbols or important events appear regularly.
Visitors can observe and also take part. They can share thoughts and discuss. It is a great educational place for meaningful time and useful knowledge.
Entry is free. The centre is located at Totorių g. 28 (the Presidential Palace complex).

This place suits families with young kids and older children. Moreover, older children can use one of the largest skating and scooter parks in Vilnius for free. There are three modern basketball courts, volleyball courts, and workout areas.
Meanwhile, younger kids have two playgrounds. Also, the nearby Food Hall offers many places to eat. When you sit outside, you can easily watch your children playing. In addition, there is a large meadow for picnics, the cherry blossom park, and a shopping centre close by.

This is the newest family leisure area in Vilnius. At the end of 2024, Tauro Hill renovation works finished. Two playgrounds were built in the park. Their design combines modern and natural elements. The design also matches the hill’s landscape. The upper terrace has an outdoor gym. The renewed paths allow visitors to reach the hill without stairs from Pamėnkalnio, Tauro, V. Kudirkos, and V. Mykolaičio-Putino streets.
The upper playground has a soft surface. It is modern and interesting. It also feels new and unique. Vilnius does not have many playgrounds like this.
Although the official age is from five years old, toddlers will also find activities here. There is also another similar playground halfway up the hill.

Some free places for children in Lithuania are truly unique. In fact, this is the only place in the country where you can watch planes from such a close distance. It is exciting for toddlers and older kids. Moreover, many adults enjoy it too. And there is a great playground right next to it. So you can easily spend a fun time here with the whole family.

Bernardine Garden
This is one of the most beautiful and well-kept parks in central Vilnius. Moreover, it is located between Gediminas Hill, the Vilnelė River, and the Bernardine Monastery. The garden was renewed in 2013. During the renewal, the team kept the authentic 19th-century layout. Here you will find a rose garden, a medicinal herb garden, tidy flower beds, ponds, and fountains. Also, several modern playgrounds are available for children. Meanwhile, benches line the riverbank.
Cultural events often take place in the centre of the park. During warm seasons, people love relaxing on the grass with blankets.
