Underground theme park near Vilnius
Escape Bunker near Nemenčinė, the underground theme park near Vilnius, covers an impressive 3,700 square metres. Unlike the amusement parks we are used to, however, it resembles a giant adventure maze.
This season, Escape Bunker welcomes visitors to a two-hour survival game. Upon arrival, you become investigators whose goal is to uncover as many secrets of the bunker and the entire park as possible within a limited time.
Here, time becomes a kind of in-game currency. To succeed, participants must complete various challenges, solve puzzles, and explore different areas of the park. They must also try to accumulate as much extra time as possible. Consequently, the more extra time you earn, the better your result. To complete the challenges, you will also need the special Escape Bunker app on your phone.
A unique 3,700-square-metre underground theme park near Vilnius
Without a doubt, the bunker itself makes the biggest impression. After all, it is not a decoration or a space built specifically for entertainment. Instead, you descend into a real underground structure dating back to the Cold War.
The 3,700-square-metre bunker has been transformed into a vast maze of darkness. Around every corner, you may encounter a new riddle, puzzle, or challenge. Additionally, the space features themed rooms, installations, sound effects, and game characters.
This is precisely what makes the experience so special. Rather than simply moving from one challenge to another, you become part of the story yourself.
Furthermore, believe us when we say that we have never seen such fascinating installations or such uniquely decorated surroundings anywhere else in Lithuania.
Is Escape Bunker a horror park?
Although phrases such as “dark bunker,” “survival game,” and “underground secrets” may sound quite frightening, it is important to clarify that Escape Bunker is not a horror park. The entertainers are not there to scare visitors. Instead, they form part of the game and its challenges. Therefore, the main goal is to explore the spaces, search for clues, and solve tasks.
We can confirm this from our own experience, too. We explored the bunker with both of our children: nine-year-old Motiejus and three-year-old Paulė. Although the atmosphere is certainly mysterious and tense in places, this is not a classic Halloween horror experience with actors deliberately trying to frighten visitors.
Fortunately, both of our children really enjoyed it. The entertainers were friendly towards children, talked to them, and helped them solve the challenges. Moreover, every corner of the bunker sparked their curiosity.
Is it worth visiting with children?
Yes, Escape Bunker is an attraction for the whole family. Outside, there is a large area with two free arcade machines, a boxing punching bag, remote-controlled car tracks, and table football. Additionally, these activities offer more entertainment beyond the underground adventure.
However, it is worth considering the nature of the attraction before visiting with very young children. The bunker is dark and involves plenty of walking, stairs, and different spaces. As a result, moving around the bunker and the main building with a stroller is definitely difficult.
In our opinion, this attraction is particularly suitable for school-age children. It is an especially good choice for those who enjoy puzzles, mysteries, exploration, and adventure games.
Another major advantage of Escape Bunker in autumn is that most activities take place indoors. Therefore, it can be an excellent weekend destination when it is raining or chilly. It is also ideal when you simply do not want to plan an activity that depends on the weather.
Practical Information
First of all, wear comfortable shoes because the bunker has uneven floors, and some areas are damp. Meanwhile, the surrounding area is covered by forest. It is also important to know that there is no mobile phone signal or internet access inside the bunker.
For this reason, we recommend bringing a flashlight. There is also a food truck on site, along with tables under a roof and a bar. Consequently, you can comfortably plan to spend several hours here without needing to find somewhere else to eat immediately after your visit.
The 2026 season begins on October 1. The park is open Thursday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Additionally, it welcomes visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Important: You will need the Escape Bunker app on your phone to complete the challenges. You can purchase tickets online through the Escape Bunker website.
